about

Compositions by Randy Resnick, from 1975-1992
Recorded in California in 1992 with members of Tower of Power, Herbie Hancock's Monster Band, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, and Pure Food & Drug Act (Sugarcane Harris Band)
None of the tracks were properly mixed!

"Touch Tones" was influenced by McCoy Tyner's "Passion Dance", but The rhythm section has my ToP friends instead of jazz players. "Elsie" was L.C. Larry Carlton. "Peekin'" was an allusion to BASIC programming language. "The Coming Storm" was written while I was walking to a job in Paris (in 9/8). "Log Jam" and "Fool's Paradise" were for a blues rock CD. "Engouement" (Infatuation) was about a woman. "My Lucky Star" about a different one, the one I've been married to for 44 years. "King Solomon's Mines" was influenced by a funky Salif Keita track in 6/6. "After the Party" and "Lonely Spaceport Blues" are lame,ts about what we're doing the out planet. "To Each His Zone" is probably from the L.A. Salsa scene.
